Here’s the Nonsense: Barack Obama’s campaign is in trouble. Republicans and Conservatives are thrilled with his problems. It’s clear it’s all over for him in this election. The road to victory for Romney will now be a cakewalk.
Here’s the Horse Sense: When it’s early in a contest it’s important to remember you still have a long way to go. With 5 months to go until Election Day, it’s far too early to start getting excited. Obama may be down, but he’s far from out.
If you’re a sports fan you’ve seen it time and again. A team starts the game and quickly moves into the lead. The fans are going crazy knowing that the other team is toast. But as the game moves on something happens and their team that’s done so well doesn’t move any further forward. The competitor mounts a response that gives them a resurgence and they begin to move forward. By the end of the game it’s a solid victory for the team that in the early stages of the game was on the ropes. This could quite easily be what may happen in the election.
People are calling President Obama an amateur who doesn’t know what he’s doing. This is certainly possible and it does appear that there may be some accuracy in the description. But it is also quite possible, and fairly probable, that that is a misunderstanding of who he is. There is a strong chance that he is not in over his head, as Romney likes to say. Rather, he may very well know what he’s doing and his actions in office may all be part of a much larger plan that would result in such fundamental change to America that, if successful, would make our nation into something virtually unrecognizable to Americans of past generations and our nation’s founders.
President Obama is a progressive and contrary to what people may think, that is not just someone who’s thinking of progress for the nation. Progressives have become the largest influence in the Democrat Party and are even influencing the establishment Republicans today, too.
In my new book, No Tomorrows: How To Halt America’s Imminent Collapse And Return To The American Dream, I examine the influence of Saul Alinsky on President Obama and the Democrat Party. The impact of Alinsky’s progressivism on them to mold their opinions and influence their plans for America is huge. And he taught a very subtle methodology to take over and change organizations and governments. These teachings have formed the core of who President Obama is and what he has planned. It is very possible that the amateurish performance and behavior he exhibits is more of a guise than who he really is.
The progressives will fight hard to win, don’t doubt it. We are far from election day and haven’t begun to see what they will do. If they truly are in trouble you can expect a reaction that will be very fierce. I have an image in my mind of how a wild animal reacts when cornered. They will not take lightly the idea of losing. We cannot assume that because the president has suffered a period of difficulties that it is indicative of how the rest of this election contest will go. We must stay vigilant and work hard toward victory both in the presidential election and the congressional contests. It is imperative if we want a chance to save America.
