The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense

“…I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.… It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.” - Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775

They Want You To Think The Election Is Over

Here’s the Nonsense: There is no doubt that President Obama will win the election so Mitt Romney might as well quit and go home.  The media reports and the polls clearly say that Obama has it in the bag.

Here’s the Horse Sense:  Yogi Berra was right.  It ain’t over till it’s over.  And this election is far from over.  What the media are telling us is only part of the story, they don’t want you to know the rest of the information.

The general election campaign technically started after the Republican and Democrat national conventions.  We are halfway down the two month path from President Obama’s September 6th nomination acceptance speech at the DNC and Election Day November 6th.  Yet the media, the Democrats, and even some of the establishment Republicans want us all to accept the nonsensical idea that the election is over and President Obama has won.  They want us all to think that Mitt Romney should pack his bags and go home.  They want you to forget that this is only the halfway point in the contest.  They want you to think the election is over.

But halfway is nothing.  Many contests in life ebb and flow.  Whether it be in sports where games can turn around in the last minutes or even seconds of the game or in much more serious events like war, the end is often not known until the very end.  We never know when the turning point in a contest may come.  Sometimes they come early, sometimes late, but what often makes the difference is the drive and tenacity of those in the contest.  Yogi Berra was right when he said, “It ain’t over till it’s over.”

From the very beginning Americans have known you often have to go through hard times to get to victory.  Americans were struggling to survive during the American Revolution.  Supplies were so scarce that many of the troops were hardly clothed, short on food and shelter, and in need of weapons.  We know that at times the troops were eating soup made of burnt leaves and dirt.  The list of hardships goes far beyond what most of us will ever experience.  But George Washington turned those struggling troops into a highly skilled fighting force.

That fighting force was looking as if they had little chance at surviving after suffering many defeats at the hands of the British.  But then the Battle of Saratoga began and the Colonial Army defeated the British, forcing them to surrender.  This success gave the American forces a huge supply of captured weapons they could use.

That victory also caused the French to see the potential for victory of the colonists.  They had been watching closely to determine if they should support America’s cause in the war.  With the success in Saratoga they could see that the pleas for support being made by the Americans was worth their involvement.  Their financial support was estimated to provide 90% of the gun powder needed by the colonies for two years.  That, along with their naval support gave the colonists the edge they needed to eventually win the war.

The American Colonial Army won the war because they fought when there was no hope and kept on fighting until there was hope.  In my new book, No Tomorrows: How To Halt America’s Imminent Collapse And Return To The American Dream – And Why It Must Start With The 2012 Elections, I use many examples from American history to help us understand what we need to do to fix the problems we face today in America.  As many problems as our nation faces today, there are 3 core problems that must be fixed to keep our nation from collapse and turn it around.  I identify those problems and show their solutions to help Americans understand that while we have a daunting task facing us, we can fix the problems our nation faces and rebuild the American dream for the future.

The mainstream media and politicians would have us believe that the election is already won by President Obama.  They come up with stories and polls to paint a picture of victory for Obama and doom for Romney.  Yet we also see stories like this:

Breitbart.com is reporting that the independents are swinging towards Romney with these poll results:

Ohio – Leads Among Independents
Ohio Newspaper Organization – Romney +28
CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac – Romney +1
American Research Group – Romney +16
Fox News – Romney +4
We Ask America – Romney +3
Public Policy Polling – Romney +2

Florida - Leads Among Independents
CBS/NYT/Quinnipiac – Romney +3
Gravis Marketing – Romney +4
We Ask America – Romney +2
American Research Group – Romney +1
Florida Times Union – Romney +4
Fox News – Obama +2

And Fox News reported that Romney is ahead with middle class families by 14 points.

Foreignpolicy.com is reporting that “…Mitt Romney has a 48-42 advantage over Barack Obama on the question of which candidate would be tougher on terrorism.”

Examiner.com reports on the trust of voters regarding the economy for Romney vs. Obama with a headline that reads:  “Polls:  Romney Leads Obama 51% To 44% In Trust To Handling The Economy”

Even though we see positive stories like those, we are continually told that Romney is losing to Obama in the polls.  I was introduced this past week to a website I had not been familiar with before.  It is www.unskewedpolls.com.  The major national polls skew their polls to reflect what the pollsters believe will make a more accurate account of what the nation feels.  Most polls use a model that skews the polls to assume that voter turnout for 2012 will be the same as 2008 or even stronger for the Democrats.  The problem with this is that Obama is having trouble getting his base fired up and many in his base say they don’t plan to vote.  (Rasmussen polls use a hybrid they developed that is a mixture of 2008 and 2004 voter turnout.  But no one is considering the turnout in 2010, which was dramatically different than either 2008 or 2004.)

Unskewedpolls.com changes the skewing so you can see a more accurate representation of what those polled really said.  I have heard that there are some imperfections in their model, too, but that they may very well be more accurate.  What is interesting is that when they unskew the polls Romney advances dramatically in the results.  Currently they are showing Romney averages an 7.4 point lead over Obama.

This makes it all confusing as to who is accurate.  What adds even more to the questionability of polls is information learned during the John Edwards trial that came out in May.  Under oath a pollster testified that he selectively chose what information to use in making the Edwards campaign look more successful than it really was.  Politico reported:

Under oath, Hickman admitted that in the final weeks of Edwards's 2008 bid, Hickman cherry-picked public polls to make the candidate seem viable, promoted surveys that Hickman considered unreliable, and sent e-mails to campaign aides, Edwards supporters and reporters which argued that the former senator was still in the hunt —even though Hickman had already told Edwards privately that he had no real chance of winning the Democratic nomination.

It seems that this is common fare among pollsters and would bring into question what we’re seeing from them in the 2012 Presidential race, too.

So, who’s right?  I really don’t know.  I don’t think anyone does.  But I wouldn’t be surprised if the polls most of us hear about are wrong.  When we keep seeing headlines like those below, it’s hard to believe that the majority of Americans want to continue down Obama’s path of destruction.  Here are some examples:

The Washington Free Beacon reports about the inaccurate numbers in Obama’s economic plans with this headline:  "Phantom Savings:  Obama’s Debt-Reduction Plan Is Filled With Gimmicks"

Fast and Furious is far from over with Univision releasing an explosive probe on the scandal that is said to be the holy grail of reports.

This headline says a lot about how the public feel about what’s happening in foreign policy:

And reports that show evidence of the cover-up are discussed in this piece:

Not wanting to have it affect the election, the Democrats try to avoid accountability by trying to delay the investigation:

But Obama’s failures in foreign policy are more than just Libya:

And if we’re not in enough financial trouble, the New York Times is reporting that the Obama administration is trying to give Egypt $450 million.

As long as they’re throwing our money around we can look a little further and find McClatchy reporting that Secretary of State Clinton has offered $45 million to the Syrian rebels

All this wasting of taxpayer’s money while Americans’ incomes have fallen $3040 during the Obama “Recovery” and you have to wonder why any thinking American would want another four years of this mess, which I might add, is sure to push us right over the cliff and into collapse of our economy.

The president shows no concern for Americans during this terrible time of economic struggle.  Even his strongest constituency does not get help as the Washington Times reports that the Black community suffers most under president’s fiscal policies.

But let’s not forget that your taxpayer dollars are being spent not just for programs and foreign aid.  They are being spent to cover up things that could impact the president’s reelection as we see in this headline from TheHill.com:
The administration is even offering to cover legal costs contractors may incur for not issuing the required 60 notice of potential layoffs.  This is all because the layoffs would occur on January 2, 2013 and if the contractors notify the workers according to regulations they would have to notify them just before the election by Nov. 2, 2012 (obviously seriously affecting the way those employees and their families would vote).  So the administration is offering the contractors to cover their legal costs in case they get sued for not notifying workers before the election as required by regulation.

The media doesn’t want you to know about, let alone think about these kinds of things.  We have seen numerous times how they have twisted and manipulated information so that Romney looks bad.  This headline is another example of the work they are doing:

Voters should question why someone as evil as Hugo Chavez would endorse the president for reelection.  Chavez, like the Chinese, has said that he supports Obama’s reelection.  Wouldn’t it make sense to NOT want the person your enemy wants as your leader?

No, things are not as rosy for the president as they want you to believe.  Even students are upset about what his administration is doing to their lives as we can see by headlines like this:

It’s nonsense to think it’s all over at this point.  As the Weekly Standard points out:

For all of the wishful thinking in the mainstream press about President Obama’s positioning 40 days before this election, Obama’s approval rating looks remarkably similar to what it was on this date in 2010 — shortly before his party lost a historic 63 House seats and 6 Senate seats.

The black community, the president’s most staunch supporters, are now facing a stand being taken by many black pastors saying that voters should reconsider voting on election day because of the president’s support of gay marriage, a position that conflicts with the biblical teachings of their churches.

If that's not enough, a Catholic Bishop is very concerned about the votes that will be cast by people on election day and has even put a video on YouTube warning of the danger in supporting candidates who support positions that are intrinsically evil.  He says that voters may be putting their own souls in eternal danger by making the wrong choice on election day.

I find it very interesting that people of varying religious persuasions have moral and ethical problems with Obama and the Democrats.  A message having to do with eternal judgment is certainly more serious than telling someone they disagree about school funding or some other comparatively minor issue.  I can't remember a time a presidential candidate drove the clergy to these kinds of public statements.

In a piece about assuming the election is already over, the Weekly Standard published an article titled "The Silly Mantra of Obama’s Inevitability” where they talk about how ridiculous it is to assume Obama has already won.  It's important for us to remember that we don't have to accept everything the mainstream media put out at face value.

It’s time for American patriots to work hard and remember that battles are not won by easy, simple fights.  They are won by those who struggle through the tough times and don’t give up.  We are only half way to Election Day.  We’ve still got lots of time to win this election, and with the dishonesty of the mainstream media’s reporting Romney may already be doing a lot better than they report.  If we work hard Mitt Romney has a very good chance of winning.

Time Magazine reported on December 1, 1980, the month after the overwhelming victory of Reagan over Carter, that the results certainly weren't what was expected:

For weeks before the presidential election, the gurus of public opinion polling were nearly unanimous in their findings. In survey after survey, they agreed that the coming choice between President Jimmy Carter and Challenger Ronald Reagan was "too close to call." A few points at most, they said, separated the two major contenders.

But when the votes were counted, the former California Governor had defeated Carter by a margin of 51% to 41% in the popular vote

Work hard by talking to everyone you know and everyone you meet.  We win hearts by direct one-on-one contact.  And don’t forget the importance of winning control of the Senate and maintaining control of the House.  If the Republicans control both houses of Congress they can provide a stop-gap against a president getting out of control.  So even if President Obama did win reelection they would be able to keep him from taking the nation even further into danger.

Just remember Yogi Berra and keep saying, “It ain’t over till it’s over.”

Obama's Apologies Should Be To America, Not Other Nations

Here’s the Nonsense:  President Obama’s apologies to Muslim nations is a good way to build friendships with them.

Here’s the Horse Sense:  President Obama’s apologies to Muslim nations has done nothing other than reinforce that America has weak leadership and that our nation is like a dog that’s all bark and no bite.  We need leadership that demands respect first and builds friendships after respect is established.

How’s that apology thing workin’ out for you Barack? We have a president who went on an apology tour of the Muslim world when he first got into office.  Somehow he thought that that would endear the Muslim nations to him and help relations between those countries and America.  Yet with all the apologetic actions he’s taken during his term as president, it seems that those countries are more hateful towards America than ever before.  So has President Obama learned anything from all of this or is he living Einstein’s definition of insanity?  Obama's Apologies Should Be To America, Not Other Nations

Albert Einstein said that the definition of insanity was to do the same thing over and over again and expect different results.  It seems that that’s how President Obama and his administration are handling foreign relations.  In fact, it’s how they’re handling everything.  And the results are that things just keep getting worse.

If the attacks on our embassies in the Middle East along with the deaths of American citizens wasn’t enough, President Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton essentially apologized to those who attacked us, thereby repeating the actions this administration has shown throughout their term in office.  It is insulting that someone would apologize for being American, which is essentially what President Obama did when he didn’t stand up and defend America and our Constitution against these direct attacks on us and our sovereign soil.

He continues to apologize for America and we continue to be laughed at around the world.  We are looking just like we did to the world when Jimmy Carter was president (another pitiful failure of a presidency).  Now, since he’s already proven himself a bigger failure than Mr. Carter, President Obama seems to want to make sure there’s no doubt that he can do an even worse job than he’s already done.

The film that we’re told offended Muslims and upon which the Obama administration blamed the uprisings is still the scapegoat of choice for Obama.  Even though it’s now been admitted that the film was not to blame and that Al Qaeda was behind the attack that left Americans dead, the president won’t pass up another opportunity to make America look weak to the world.  He plans to speak to the U. N. and condemn the film and filmmaker, which is, in essence, another apology.

If that isn’t enough, he plans to release or transfer about 30% of the Guantanamo detainees.  He must think this is another chance to show the Muslim world that he is doing them a kindness.

These ridiculous actions will do no good in improving relations with that  part of the world.  Why did Jimmy Carter have no success in getting the Iranian hostages released during his term?  Because they didn’t respect him.  But when Ronald Reagan was elected the Iranians became receptive to negotiating the release and did release them on Reagan's inauguration day.  Why?  Because they respected him.

Some would say they feared Reagan, and I believe they did.  They knew he meant business.  They knew that he was serious about the safety of Americans.  They knew they were in big trouble if they held those hostages while he was president.  That assured the safe release of those hostages.

Respect is based on many things, one of which is fear.  A healthy fear can be a good thing.  Even a child knows how effective a healthy fear is.  When fear of punishment will be the outcome of doing something wrong it can be very effective at keeping behavior in control.  When an employee knows there’s consequences for bad behavior it helps keep their actions under control.  The relations of nations is often no different than what it is like to deal with children or employees.

This is something that President Obama does not understand.   It is obvious there was little discipline in his upbringing and early life.  He wouldn’t have been as involved with drugs as he’s admitted he was if he was raised with appropriate discipline.  And since he never really had a job before becoming president, he hasn’t had an employer holding him accountable.  Yes, yes, I know people will say he was a community organizer (another word for promoter of social change as defined by Saul Alinsky, the socialist/Marxist whose organization trained and employed Obama as a community organizer).  And they’ll talk about being in the Illinois Senate and U. S. Senate, but by this time I don’t think anyone who is thinking clearly can say that all elected officials do much work, let alone be accountable to anyone.  It doesn’t take much to be in a job where you can get away with voting “present” all the time and suffer no repercussions.

No, President Obama’s life has been one that would give him no experience at learning how to gain respect.  Add that to his view that America isn’t an exceptional nation and since he sees us as nothing special why would he even care if he stands up for our nation?

While people are saying he has such a charismatic personality, they are accusing Mitt Romney of being mannequin-like and saying he’s running his campaign too much like a CEO.

Mitt Romney is a CEO, so what would you expect him to do?  And because his campaign may not fall into the superficial sound-byte style of running for office that every worthless politician runs, maybe we’re looking at the wrong criteria for our leaders.  In my new book, No Tomorrows: How To Halt America’s Imminent Collapse And Return To The American Dream – And Why It Must Start With The 2012 Elections, one of the core problems that I identify our nation faces sets us up for imminent collapse is that we don’t choose true leaders.  We use all the wrong criteria for choosing them.

Even if people are right about Mitt Romney having a lack of personality (which I absolutely disagree with), wouldn’t you rather have someone who knows how to run something successfully and has a remarkable track record of past successes instead of a person who not only has no real work experience, but also has a record of nothing but failure?

If you think personality is so important let’s look at it another way.  If you needed heart surgery would you rather have a doctor with a great personality but a terrible record of success or a doctor with little personality and yet has had tremendous successes with his patients and is considered one of the premier specialists in his field?  If my life is on the line I think I’ll take the guy with no personality.  I would hope that you would do the same.

If your business was in trouble and about to collapse would you prefer to get help to save your business from the consultant with a great personality but a terrible record of failure or the consultant who isn’t as personable but has had successes beyond the vast majority of people in business?  Once again, I’ll go with less personality.

And here’s a thought.  Maybe it’s not that Mitt doesn’t have personality, maybe he’s just a quiet guy who is very thoughtful.  Maybe his successes are based on a high intellectual ability to analyze and develop solutions.  The old saying that still waters run deep is often very true and it might very well be that that’s what we’re seeing in Mitt Romney.

We don’t need apologies to save America, we need action.  President Obama had the first two years of his administration with a Democrat-controlled House and Senate.  He could have anything he wanted and yet didn’t do anything to help America.  He only hurt our nation.  Now he blames his failures on Republicans who had absolutely no say during that time as to what was done.  Mitt Romney is the candidate that has the track record needed to turn this country around.  Let's vote for real change this time and give America its hope back.

Public Doesn’t Agree With Media About Romney’s 47% Comment

Here’s the Nonsense:  Mitt Romney has done irreparable damage to his campaign with the comment he made about voters who don’t pay income taxes

Here’s the Horse Sense:  What the media wish was a gaffe for Romney is turning out to be something with which Americans agree

As usual, the mainstream media is out of touch with what Americans think.  While they have tried their usual tricks of manipulating the details in the story about Mitt Romney’s 47% comment, their efforts to create outrage among voters are falling on deaf ears.  They are finding out that most people aren’t buying their attempt at trying to cover up for Obama's problems in foreign relations that are causing violent protests throughout the world.  In an informal, non-scientific poll taken by CNBC to determine people’s reaction to Romney’s statement it turns out that 76% of respondents agree with Mitt Romney and not the media.

CNBC Poll Results:

That’s not quite the response the media was hoping for.  After all, they see their job as getting President Obama reelected, not as being journalists.  I think that today’s media define the term “journalist” as anyone who will sell out their values, their country, and their freedom to support the Democrat Party.  They are ignorant of the fact that a free and unbiased press is more important to maintain a free society than support of any candidate or party. Their lack of conscience opens the door to great danger for America by fleeing their responsibilities as guardians of freedom through the free press.

The media’s efforts to place blame on Romney for simply stating truth and standing by it are their way of taking attention off of Barack Obama’s failures in foreign relations that have caused the protests and violence in other parts of the world.

In my new book, No Tomorrows:  How To Halt America’s Imminent Collapse And Return To The American Dream – And Why It Must Start With The 2012 Elections, I point out the core reasons why America is about to collapse and what the solutions are to fix them.  The lack of electing good leadership and the need for morality are two of the core problems we face.

President Obama has shown his lack of leadership by trying to get the world to like him.  His continual apologies for America and what we stand for are more than just an embarrassment to our nation, they are devastating for us and the rest of the world.  His and the media’s abandonment of moral principles are simply a reflection of what our entire society now embraces.  Both of these issues are core problems America must face to stop our nation from imminent collapse.

When our embassies were attacked and our citizens killed this past week the first thing our leadership had an obligation to do was to defend America and what we stand for.  America is the one, true shining beacon of freedom in the world.  No nation has ever granted the freedoms to its citizens that America has.  Built into our founding documents and, therefore, our laws are principles that guarantee rights granted to us only by God.  No other government has ever done that.  No other government has ever understood that, but our founding fathers did.  They understood that our rights come from God, which means that since no power is greater than God, then no power outside of God Himself can take those rights away.

Some would say that government is what grants those rights, but they miss the point.  If government can grant us rights, then it can take those rights away.  What those critics don’t see is that the founding fathers of our nation knew that the U. S. government would be the first to recognize that it was subservient to God and had to respect the rights He has granted mankind.

But when President Obama and his administration didn’t stand up for America’s right of freedom of expression and our other values and demand respect he was empowering those who attacked us.  His apologies for America gave support to those who attacked us and killed our citizens. Those embassies are sovereign American soil.  Attacking us there was no different than attacking the Pentagon and the World Trade Center on 9/11.  Not defending America when it happened to one of our embassies was no different than if we had been attacked in the middle of our country and not defended ourselves from the attack.

President Obama, however, just wants to be liked.  And like the fearful child who doesn’t know how to deal with bullies he cowers and thinks apologies will make everything alright.  The fact is that a nation, just like an individual, doesn’t need to be liked, it needs to be respected.

Then again, how could President Obama understand that when it is clear he doesn’t respect America?  He’s the one who continually has stepped on the Constitution, which is the basis for our entire legal system, and issued Executive Order after Executive Order without the constitutional authority to do so.  That is not only a lack of leadership, it’s a lack of morality.

We have ourselves to blame.  We have allowed our society to come to where we accept situation ethics for our value system.  We allow people to say that what’s okay for one person is not okay for another and vice versa.  We’ve abandoned the concept that when something is wrong it’s wrong for everyone.  We’ve abandoned the concept that you do things because they’re right, not because they are simply a benefit to you.  Unless we stop our moral decay by embracing such things as absolutes for right and wrong, we will have no hope for survival.

President Obama’s failures in foreign policy are just one more area where his presidency has failed.  Keeping the attention off of his record and vilifying his opponent is all the Democrats and the media can do to win this election.  It is important that Americans see beyond their smokescreen.  We must be vigilant and work hard to win changes not just in the presidential election, but also in the congressional elections.  If we lose this election our future is doomed.  We can no longer carry the debt our nation carries without total collapse of our economic system.  We can only do this if we are all involved and talking to others about it.

The advertising done by a campaign, the debates, even the political commentary made by those with an audience to listen is not enough. This election will only be won if each citizen is talking to people about it and discussing the importance of it.

Sure, it’s not easy to talk about this stuff and most people aren’t as versed in the issues as those of us who deal with it every day.  However, that’s one of the main reason I wrote No Tomorrows.  That book is not only a quick and easy read that’s a great way to get a handle on the issues and the importance of this election, it’s also written so it can be given to people who aren’t as familiar with politics so they can read it and understand what we are facing.  Check out www.NoTomorrows.com to learn more about the book. You can even request a PDF sample of excerpts from the book before you buy.  This book will help you get educated and educate your friends so that we can take back America and restore the American dream.

Remember the words of our second president, John Adams.  He said, “A Constitution of Government once changed from Freedom, can never be restored. Liberty, once lost, is lost forever.”

America’s Foreign Relations Are In Shambles And President Obama Only Has Himself To Blame

Here’s the Nonsense:  President Obama has been very successful at America’s foreign relations.  Foreign relations may be his strongest suit in his record.

Here’s the Horse Sense:  President Obama’s foreign relations are a dismal failure. If this is the strongest part of his record of accomplishments, then he should just go home and not run again.  It will take years to undo the damage he’s done in foreign relations.

The Obama administration says the foreign attacks and protests that started in the Middle East last week have nothing to do with the U. S.  His administration is blaming it all on a film that they claim has inflamed the Muslim world because of things it says about their prophet Mohammed.  Is that accurate?  Or is this administration so out of touch that they're causing the problems without even knowing it?  A look at the facts shows us that America’s foreign relations are in shambles and President Obama only has himself to blame.

I’ve been amazed as I’ve been on radio talk shows across this nation over the past few months.  Numerous talk radio hosts have made the comment to me that the only thing that Barack Obama can campaign on is his foreign relations record, to which I’ve consistently had to ask what it was about Obama’s record on foreign relations that’s so great.  Usually the response is either “Um, er…” or the sound of crickets chirping.  Then this past week we saw the Middle East erupt in violent protests, murder and destruction followed by more protests that have now spread to many more places around the world.  We’re seeing headlines like these:

  • U. S. Embassy In Egypt Attacked
  • U. S. Embassy In Libya Attacked; Ambassador And Others Killed
  • Video Purports To Show Us Ambassador Dragged;  Cheers From Crowd
  • Protesters Screaming “F**K America!” Attack Us Embassy In Jakarta
  • U. S. Diplomats In Beirut Burning Classified Material
  • U.S. Is Preparing For A Long Siege Of Arab Unrest
  • Libyan President: Attacks Pre-Planned By Al-Qaeda
  • Islamists Worldwide Setting Countries On Fire

It seems that President Obama’s continual apologies for America haven’t made our relationships overseas any more friendly towards our country.  And with it all he and his administration continue to live under the delusion that things are fine and the protests are not directed at the U. S.  His ambassador to the U. N. says we’re quite popular in Libya and also insists that the attacks in Libya were not planned, all the while the president of Libya says that they were preplanned by Al Qaeda.  In fact, Libyan officials say that they warned the U. S. 3 days before the attack yet Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is said to have made the decision not to post marines in Benghazi.

The White House wants us to believe that an anti-Islamic film on YouTube is the cause for the entire mess we saw start up last week, yet an Al Qaeda leader says it wasn’t the film, it was in retaliation for the killing of one of their leaders.

This, along with further outbreaks of violence and protests around the world are the fruit of Obama’s foreign policy labors.

In my new book, No Tomorrows: How To Halt America’s Imminent Collapse And Return To The American Dream – And Why It Must Start With The 2012 Elections, I address the key thing we as voters must demand in our elected officials:  leadership.  We need to know what to look for when choosing a leader to serve in elected office.  No Tomorrows shows just what we must require of those we elect.  Without the right kind of leadership America is doomed to failure and faces imminent collapse before the end of the next presidential term.

What we are seeing as a result of this administration’s foreign relations efforts is a dismal failure of leadership.  Just like our economy, this administration has made weak or bad situations far worse.  There is no time to delay. Mistakes have been made by many previous administrations over the years and many of those mistakes have caused problems to begin to mount up one upon another.

This presidency has been the biggest failure in American history.  When you add it on top of the other mistakes of the past administrations we are now in a position where we no longer can ignore it.  We no longer can wait.  If we are to leave to our children and grandchildren the same opportunities we have been so fortunate to have in our lifetimes, then we must make a change now.

This is the election of our lifetimes and not just in the presidency.  We must also be involved and make changes in the congressional elections.  It is time to take America back and turn it around.  We will forever be accountable for the future of America.  As Ronald Reagan said:

“You and I have a rendezvous with destiny. We will preserve for our children, the last best hope of man on earth, or we will sentence them to take the first step into a thousand years of darkness. If we fail, at least let our children and our children's children say of us we justified our brief moment here. We did all that could be done."
