Here's the Nonsense: Marco Rubio is a true conservative who will stand strong for America's best interest on immigration. Anything he does that may not seem correct is because he's realized there are better ways to do things with this issue.
Here's the Horse Sense: Marco Rubio has now, more than ever, shown himself to be a moderate RINO. The prediction that he isn't what he says he is has now come true.
Okay, I don't like tooting my own horn, but proving some issues is more important than whether someone thinks I'm full of myself. As many of you know, I've gained a nickname from some talk show hosts who call me the Nostradamus of Political Commentary. They say my accuracy in predicting what's happening politically makes them think of me that way. While I've never been one to throw that nickname around, this time I feel like I have to because I've been saying for some time that Marco Rubio is not a conservative, that there's something wrong about him and that it would show up eventually. I've said that I just don't trust him. Well, he's now given good reason for that distrust and proved me right.
During an interview with Univision, the Spanish language television network, he made it clear what kind of a RINO (Replublican in Name Only) that he really is. Byron York, well-respected journalist and correspondent for the Washington Examiner is reporting that Rubio has shown his true colors. They reported Rubio saying:
"The legalization is going to happen. That means the following will happen: First comes the legalization. Then come the measures to secure the border. And then comes the process of permanent residence.”
Hmmm... it seems that from the beginning as Rubio became part of the Gang of Eight Liars he has said that security must come first. He has said that there would be no immigration deal without border security. He has made everyone think he was going to stand strong and not support any measure that did't put security first. Yet here he is speaking to an audience in Spanish telling them that legalization comes first. Did he think we didn't know anyone who could translate for us? What kind of idiots does he think we are? He's the idiot if he thinks conservative Americans will fall for this.
Does anyone remember such oldies but goodies as Sean Hannity interviewing Rubio last January 28th when Rubio told us that security comes first? Rubio told Hannity:
"Before we move to a path towards green cards, there has to be enforcement mechanisms, verified and in place. And not just the border, Sean, it's workplace enforcement, because that's the magnet for legal immigration, and its tracking the entry and exit of visitor visas. Forty percent of our illegal immigration and undocumented people in the country entered illegally and overstayed their visas, and we don't track when people leave, so we don't know who and where they are. All of these things must happen before, before there's a path to a green card and that's a critical part of any component that we do here."
Set aside the fact that he referred to illegals as undocumented, a clear warning sign that he doesn't see these people as having broken the law but sees them as leftists do. He gave the impression that he would not stand for anything that put security in second place over anything else. Yet here we have him speaking on Univision saying just the opposite.
Marco Rubio is a fraud and no matter what some people claim, even Fox News, who seems to have a love affair with him, people need to see through him.
If you support Marco Rubio you might as well sign on with John McCain and Lindsey Graham, too. In fact, don't forget their good friend Chuck Schumer. This is appalling and any thinking American voter better pay attention. These are the kinds of people who should not be leading America. These are the kinds of people who should be replaced with God-fearing, Constitution-respecting patriots who will return this nation to what it was created to be.
2014 isn't far away and we need to start working hard to get the right kind of leaders in Congress and turn this nation around.
The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense
“…I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.… It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.” - Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775
"The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it." - George Orwell
