The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense

“…I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.… It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.” - Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775

"The further a society drifts from truth the more it will hate those who speak it." - George Orwell

SOTU Wasn't Important, But This Is

Here's the Nonsense:  The president's State of the Union message was an important one for all Americans to hear.  It unveils to us where he plans to take the country.
Here's the Horse Sense: The SOTU was not important and Americans focusing on it are missing the most important point.
Last night many Americans chose to watch the president's State of the Union (SOTU) address.  Many more did not.  Those who did not watch it mostly don't pay attention or care about what's going on in American politics.  They see it as unimportant.  Those who chose to watch it were either diehard ideologues supporting the president's agenda (yes, many of those were Republicans whether you want to believe it or not), or staunch conservatives worried about the future of our country.  Those conservatives feel they need to stay on top of every little thing this president says so they can counter it by showing how he's guilty of unconstitutional behavior and anti-American intentions.  While I am a conservative, I don't believe that the SOTU was important and, therefore, didn't watch it.  There are more important things for us to be watching right now.
Yes, I don't think that the president's message last night was important in and of itself.  Why?  Because it's the same old stuff.  The same old convoluted views and plans that we've been seeing now for over 5 years.  He told us nothing new, only confirmed once again that he is following through on his plan to transform America into, at least, a socialist society or, at worst, a Marxist regime.  This is nothing new and didn't deserve our time.  I'm sure anyone truly paying attention could have written the same speech he gave knowing what he's been working towards his entire time in the White House.

Rather than think about that stuff again, which I am usually consumed with almost 24/7, I chose to look at other things we need to be aware of that people may not know yet.  I've sat, like a relatively small group of other conservatives, as a watchman on the wall for years now warning America what was going to happen and where we are headed.  Most of the time people don't listen or get caught up on the small things.  They argue that we need to stand up against the changes occurring in our society and when they see small changes happen (such as when a business isn't allowed to put a sign up supporting our troops or other such things) they get enraged and say we should all be standing up against these things.  But they miss the big point that far bigger things are happening and need to be stopped.

Those little things they react to are just symptoms of much bigger problems that are far more serious.  They blame this president for all of it not realizing that this has been a long time in coming and this president is just one more step in the total destruction of America.  The core problems underlying what's happening in America have been in process for decades, but we've been asleep.  We haven't paid attention.  And so now, when this president gives a message that is the same old stuff that we should have known all along, I'm not wasting my time listening to it.  Everything he said has been clearly in process all along.  As I wrote back on January 21, it's the ideology we need to be fighting if we want to save America.

A good example of how America is being torn down and it's been in process for some time came up in a recent report by the Washington Free Beacon.  In it, they not only talk about a new weapon that China is working on, but state that U. S. military leaders are concerned because "... Chinese military advances will overtake those of the United States in as few as five years..."

Within 5 years the Chinese will have the technological capability to defeat America.  That's unbelievable considering that we used to be so far ahead of everyone else that they didn't appear to have a chance at catching up to us.  But you can't blame this on Obama.  This goes back much more than his term in office.

The success of Chinese advancement in technology, especially military and space technology, has come about suddenly in the recent past.  Just two decades ago they were considered formidable because of the sheer size of their military, but not their technology.  Then, thanks to a previous progressive president, they were able to leap forward virtually overnight to the point that they just put a robotic rover on the moon, have developed submarine and ship technology that is comparable to ours, now have stealth jets like we do, have developed a satellite killer that can shoot our satellites out of the sky, and even more.

In May of 1999 the New York Times reported, "The Clinton Administration notified Congress today that it had approved the export of technology to China to permit the launching of a communications satellite aboard a Chinese rocket next month."  This is an example of how President Clinton allowed the Chinese to get technology that allowed them to significantly leap forward in their technology.

And this wasn't the only time Clinton allowed them to get our technology.  Far earlier in his presidency, Clinton allowed the Chinese to get technology that was a danger to our national security.  The details were reported by a few people, but ignored by most, including most of our congressional representatives.  Clinton got away with it and it has damaged America forever.  For more information about what happened you can read here and here.  Clinton even allowed the Chinese access to our nuclear technology as reported by CNN in 1997.

People don't think of Bill Clinton as a progressive, but he is every bit as much one as Barack Obama.  And, as I showed in my book, No Tomorrows, he's not the first one we've had in key elected offices like the presidency.  His wife, Hillary Clinton, is a devout progressive and follower of Saul Alinsky's teachings.  Should Hillary be elected in 2016 it will only continue the path they've had us on for some time.

Most Americans, including conservatives, are missing the point.  Things like the president's SOTU address are just being given to his supporters.  He's not speaking to the rest of us.  We are fighting an ideology, not a man.  That is what we should be talking about and that is what we should be working to counter.  If we don't, there will be no tomorrow for America as we know it.

Super Bowl Ticket Prices Say More About America Than News Headlines

Here's the Nonsense: There's nothing wrong with Super Bowl ticket prices. Regardless of the cost, it's a time for people to treat themselves to a special day because we deserve it after all we've been through.

Here's the Horse Sense: Something is seriously wrong with our society and the Super Bowl proves it.  Our priorities are so far off base that we defend them instead of being embarrassed or ashamed by them.

While ESPN is reporting that Super Bowl ticket prices are plummeting and have now reached a low of $1779 on NFL Ticket Exchange, which is $409 cheaper than at the same time before the game last year, it isn't reporting a more important point.  That is that something is dreadfully wrong in our society and this story proves it.  When a society has reached a point where record numbers of people are unemployed, on disability, and no longer even looking for work, personal debt is climbing higher and higher and savings and retirement funds are being cashed in just to pay living expenses, but people will pay $1779 for a ticket to a football game then that society has lost all semblance of sanity.

Think I'm wrong?  What logic would even consider defending this kind of expense?  The median income in the U. S. is $51,017 (as of September 2013 reporting).  That means the $1779 ticket price is 3.5% of the median income in our nation.  What kind of moron would condone that kind of spending?  Answer:  too many Americans.

At a time when we should be not just worried, but working our tails off to try to stop the implosion of our country, people continue down a path of upside down priorities.  And you can't justify this with such stupid statements as "people deserve a break" or "they deserve relaxation" or anything else.  I'm not saying that it's wrong to go to a football game if you can afford it.  But what I am saying is that something is really wrong when the cost of a single ticket to the championship football game has risen this high because it points to a total loss of priorities in our society.

People can say they deserve to treat themselves.  But when a nation is so far in debt and in trouble, doing anything that puts the average person who attends further in debt is irresponsible.  It also shows why our nation is in the trouble it is in.  For if we cannot control our own lives, we cannot expect the government to control itself either.

This is just one signal, but it's an important one and I'm sure I'll be vilified for writing this.  I'm sure this will get a similar reaction to the post I wrote a few months ago that pointed a finger at talk radio hosts.  That one cost me a number of appearances with some hosts clearly choosing to not invite me back on their programs.  Some people don't like it when a mirror is held up, but it's about time we started holding up the mirror so we can do some self-evaluation.

Where is the outrage at the events that are so telltale in our nation?

Was there anyone demanding that the elementary school principal in Washington state who ended up on leave for trying to do the job an educator is hired for?  When the school planned to do a play for Martin Luther King Day some of the children didn't like the use of the word negro.  The principal could see that they didn't understand the difference between the anthropological term "negro" and the n-word.  In trying to explain it she used both words (and said the actual n-word instead of saying "n-word") and that resulted in problems.  One student's parent talked to her about it and the principal tried to explain what she'd said by telling the parent exactly what wording she used.  The parent (who is a spouse in a multi-racial marriage) didn't like it and the ensuing uproar got the principal put on leave.  For what?  For trying to educate children, but even the parents don't get it.  The political correctness has run amok!  But no one is marching in the streets demanding reason to be returned to the classroom when something like this happens.

When the attorney general of our nation won't prosecute black on white crime, but will not hesitate to jump in to prosecute white on black crime, where is the outrage?  It's nowhere to be seen.  This same man has stated that we're making racial progress because a black president was elected and given approval in his appointment of a black attorney general.  That's not progress.  Progress is when everyone is treated equally regardless of race, creed, or color.

When the recent report came in of a white man in Texas attacking an elderly black man, the white man was arrested.  The Justice Department will  probably get involved to make sure he is prosecuted to the highest degree.  HE SHOULD BE.  And we should be demanding that he is and be supporting that kind of action.  But we should not settle for just that crime to be prosecuted.  Crime is crime and it should be prosecuted regardless of who is guilty of committing it.  Justice should be blind to race.  Yet we don't see that.  Congress doesn't hold this administration accountable.  And there aren't many citizens demanding that our elected members of Congress hold this administration accountable.

  • I had thought of making a list, but it's too long to put in a post.  Whether it's:
  • the attack on religious freedoms from our government
  • the invasion of privacy by the NSA
  • the continued and unchecked spending putting our nation further and further into debt
  • the selective enforcement of laws where the president and his administration choose which laws they agree with and will enforce but ignore the others
  • the continued ignoring of immigration laws
  • the out-of-control actions of the EPA
  • the continual embracing and support of radical Islamist groups throughout the Middle East such as the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Quaida-linked Syrian rebels
  • the abandonment of support for Israel who is our strongest ally in the Middle East
  • the members of Congress continually doing the opposite of what the citizens want in areas like Obamacare and immigration
  • or one of a myriad of other issues.
The bottom line is that those who are speaking out are few and far between.  And when we do speak out, the mainstream media ignores it, covers it up, or simply makes fun of it.  A good example is the pro-life rally that was just held in Washington and the mainstream media virtually ignored it.  And when they didn't ignore it they tried to vilify pro-lifers as being against women's rights.  Well, I didn't see those same media standing up for the 55+ million babies that have been killed due to abortion since Roe was passed.  In fact, probably about half of those babies (probably around 27 or 28 million) were female.  Where was the media to stand up for those female's rights?  Instead they were cheering their deaths.

And why have we allowed this to happen?  Why have we allowed all these things to stray so far from the moral foundation our nation once had?  Why do we have such a loss of rational thinking that CNET reports, for example, that a man in Kansas rushed back into his burning house to save his Xbox?  I guarantee you that one of those reasons is the lack of priorities that would allow prices for tickets to a football game to rise to $1779.

Even though, as Breitbart reports, 99% don't care about the issues that Obama has set as his priority, we're still missing the point.  While Obama has set income inequality, class inequality, gun issues, and immigration as his priorities for this year, only 1% agree with him on the first 3 issues and 2% on immigration.  He's absolutely out of touch with American values.  Yet Americans do little about it.  We are too busy being entertained and thinking of our narcissistic selves to actually get out and do something about what our government has become.

Sure, you may read some conservative books, news sites, and articles.  You may listen to some conservative talk radio shows and catch one of the few shows on TV that are conservative news shows.  But what are you doing with that information?  Are you out telling everyone you know and meet about what's going on in our nation?  Are you rallying others to the cause by educating those around you?  Are you a constant bother to your elected representatives when these issues come up?  Are you attending meetings and getting involved?  The point is that most people are not and unless we do spread the word to get citizens involved we will not succeed.  Information must be spread from person-to-person, not trusting the media to do it.  We need to get the majority of Americans to make sacrifices and get involved or there is no hope for our country.

So, you may think I'm extreme.  You may hate me because I dare speak against professional sports and our over-abundance of leisure activites.  The fact is that a nation that puts the priority of entertainment above all the things I have listed is a nation not just about to be lost, but one that is lost and only has a short time left to pull it back from the wreckage or it will never again be what our founders created it to be.

It's The Ideology, Stupid!

Here's the Nonsense:  We're dealing with a president and an administration that is in over their heads.  They are simply incompetent and if we can just weather the storm until they're out of office everything will be okay.

Here's the Horse Sense:  This has nothing to do with incompetence and everything to do with ideology.  Americans have missed that point and now we face the complete loss of the America we have known.

This topic is one that makes me feel like I should quit writing about politics and current events.  After all these years of the progressives controlling our government it is amazing to me that anyone could still think that this administration is incompetent.  That belief is the reason the progressives have won and continue to have a stranglehold on this country.  You might as well be an ostrich with your head in the sand if you believe that this president or his administration are incompetent.  This isn't about incompetence, it's about their ideology. And if people can't see that by now it says a lot of bad things about the future of America.

Americans are foolish to continue to believe that this president, this administration, is simply in over their heads. Even if we assume that these people were ignorant when they started in office, no one with half a brain could be in their 6th year of watching the continued failure of every policy they have implemented and not think about the need to find a solution to America's problems that works.  But to them this isn't failure, it's success because they are succeeding at implementing their policies to change America.  And their policies aren't about creating jobs, a good economy, a good image for America in the world, a strong defense for our nation, or anything else that traditionally was seen by both political parties as good for our nation.  Their plan is to change America from the inside out by changing who we are as a nation.  They don't believe in America's greatness or that America has been a good nation.  They believe that America is the source of much, if not most evil in the world and that our country must be punished for our past and changed to be what they view as better in the future.

This administration is full of more academics than probably any administration in history.  And while academics often don't have much common sense, there is no doubt that most in academia have average or above average IQs (I'll take someone with common sense over someone with a high IQ any day of the week).  So, even if someone is incompetent, if they have the brains of most in academia it would only be natural for them, after 5 years of complete failure, to start to look for other solutions.  This administration does not do that.  This administration continues down the same path proclaiming the same mantra they always have.  It isn't failure if it's accomplishing what they have set out to do.  That is the mark of ideologues, not incompetents.

It's time for Americans to wake up.  Bill Clinton, during his 1992 campaign for the White House, is known for pointing out that George H. W. Bush was missing the most important issue in the campaign, which was the economy.  That's where the phrase "It's the economy, stupid." was coined.  It was obvious to anyone paying attention that that was what was on the minds of Americans.

In the same vein, anyone paying attention to this government should recognize that what we are seeing is a bunch of ideologues in control of our nation.  It's not about incompetence, it's about their ideology.  Considering that, I have to say, "It's the ideology, stupid!"

Unless and until we wake up to that fact and deal with our problems based on ideology, there is no hope for America.  An ideological fight is not the same as dealing with incompetence or any other type of difference of opinion.  Ideology closes a person off to other ideas.  They do not see us as just having a difference of opinion.  They see us as the enemy.  That's why President Obama made it clear when he was first elected that those who didn't agree with him would be punished.  That's why he referred to those who didn't agree with him as needing to sit in the back of the bus.  That's why he has never, NEVER, been willing to negotiate with Republicans.  To him a negotiation, or compromise, means that the other side must give up and agree with him without him giving an inch.  That is an ideologue.

And it's not just this president.  If Hillary Clinton or any other Democrat or establishment Republican were in the presidency we would face the same thing.  This is a fight against an ideology that has taken over both the Democrat Party and the establishment wing of the Republican Party.  Both are on the same path to the same destination.  Sure, the Republican establishment is heading there at a slower pace (they are on a train while the Democrats are on a jet), but they are still headed there.  Yet Americans are thinking it's all about the incompetence of one man, this president.

We have Americans thinking that this president is just in over his head.  Mitt Romney, sad excuse for a candidate that he was, even expressed that opinion.  That is naivete on steroids!  This president and his progressive friends intentionally make the decisions that they do.  They are not worried about being stopped because the American people don't realize just how deep this ideological commitment really is.  But the left isn't worried because no one holds them accountable.  Americans are in too much denial that this could really be happening in our country.  And the people we've elected to Congress won't stand up because they are in too much fear of making waves or being called racist.

Afraid of being called racist?  Are they kidding?  I've got news for them.  They're going to be called racist anyway so they might as well not worry about it and start standing up for the Constitution.  Unless Americans get past this idea that we just have to get past this presidency and then we'll be okay, there is no hope to stop the fall of our country.  We are well on the way to total destruction.  No one is stopping them.  Congress is not holding them accountable and the courts are no better.  We win a few small victories here and there, but we are not pushing them back.  They are not on the ropes.  They are well entrenched and it's time to stop thinking that this is just about not letting them take our country.  They've already taken it.  The question is can we still get it back?

In World War II The Axis powers were at their peak around August 1st, 1943.  It looked like there was little hope for the future.  If you watch the linked video from the beginning you see how the Axis powers moved and took over Europe.  But from August 1943 on the Allied powers start to take it back. This map shows how much of Europe they controlled:

(picture from YouTube video World War II in Europe: Every Day)

That is what we face in America today.  The progressives are in control of much of our nation.  The question is whether we can turn that around as the Allies did in World War II.  If not, the progressives will win and they will control everything.  These midterm elections upcoming in November are our moment to seize control. If we miss the chance in the elections this fall to turn Congress back into the hands of the people and get rid of most of the old guard (in both parties) that are running things, then the inroads they've made will not only go unblocked, we will have paved the way for them to  continue their utter takeover of everything we hold dear in our country.

It's time to stand up America.  It's their ideology, not their incompetence that we're up against.

New Obama Regs Will Force End To 1st Amendment

Here's the Nonsense:  With the investigations of the IRS scandal continuing, President Obama surely has not allowed continued abuse and harassment of conservatives.  He certainly must have put a stop to anything that was being done wrong by the agencies of the federal government.

Here's the Horse Sense:  As usual we have an administration out of control with no one holding them accountable.  The president is now taking advantage of the unbridled power the legislative branch has allowed him and is now moving even further to trample the rights of Americans.  If this stands it will be the end of the First Amendment.

This president not only continues down the unconstitutional path of allowing the IRS to target conservatives, he is increasing those actions through new regulations that would end First Amendment rights for Americans.

It has been said that the president not only violates the law, he abuses and ignores it.  And this arrogance is fed by the legislative branch of our government not doing their constitutional duty to hold him accountable.

In an article for WND, attorney Matt Barber goes into detail about how Obama now plans to go even further in muzzling conservative groups.  In his article Barber explains how the president with "jaw-dropping gall," has now taken action to shut up conservative groups permanently.  He writes:

"Despite the furor over the IRS assault on conservative groups leading up to the 2012 elections, this man [Obama] – a despotic radical who’s turned our constitutional republic into one of the banana variety – has quietly released a proposed set of new IRS regulations that, if implemented, will immediately, unlawfully and permanently muzzle conservative 501(c)(4) nonprofit organizations and their individual employees. (The 501(c)(4) designation refers to the IRS code section under which social welfare organizations are regulated).

"The new regulations would unconstitutionally compel a 90-day blackout period during election years in which conservative 501(c)(4) organizations – such as tea-party, pro-life and pro-family groups – would be banned from mentioning the name of any candidate for office, or even the name of any political party."

Barber goes on to point out that left-wing groups like labor unions, trade associations and liberal lobbying groups are exempted.  This gives them freedom to say and do things to impact elections that conservatives will not be allowed to do.  Conservative groups will not be allowed to use words like "vote," "oppose," or defeat."  The article goes into more detail saying:

Specifically, here’s what the proposed regulations would do to conservative groups and their leaders:
  • Prohibit using words like “oppose,” “vote,” “support,” “defeat,” and “reject.”
  • Prohibit mentioning, on its website or on any communication (email, letter, etc.) that would reach 500 people or more, the name of a candidate for office, 30 days before a primary election and 60 days before a general election.
  • Prohibit mentioning the name of a political party, 30 days before a primary election and 60 days before a general election, if that party has a candidate running for office.
  • Prohibit voter registration drives or conducting a non-partisan “get-out-the-vote drive.”
  • Prohibit creating or distributing voter guides outlining how incumbents voted on particular bills.
  • Prohibit hosting candidates for office at any event, including debates and charitable fundraisers, 30 days before a primary election or 60 days before the general election, if the candidate is part of the event’s program.
  • Restrict employees of such organizations from volunteering for campaigns.
  • Prohibit distributing any materials prepared on behalf a candidate for office.
  • Restrict the ability of officers and leaders of such organizations to publicly speak about incumbents, legislation, and/or voting records.
  • Restrict the ability of officers and leaders of such organizations to make public statements regarding the nomination of judges.
  • Create a 90-day blackout period, on an election year, that restricts the speech of 501(c)(4) organizations.
  • Declare political activity as contrary to the promotion of social welfare.
  • Protect labor unions and trade associations by exempting them from the proposed regulations.

Mr. Barber's article continues quoting Mat Staver, chairman of Liberty Counsel Action: “We would even be prohibited from criticizing the federal bureaucracy. If this new set of regulations goes into effect, Liberty Counsel Action – all conservative 501(c)(4)s for that matter – will be forbidden to ‘oppose’ or ‘support’ anything in the political arena and we’ll be prohibited from conducting our ‘get-out-the vote’ campaigns or issuing our popular voter guides.

“Further,” continue Staver, “individual employees of conservative groups will be banned from speaking or messaging on incumbents, legislation, and/or voting records – or speaking on the nominations of judges or political nominees being considered by the Senate. This also includes taking on state and local politicians.”

It's quite simple.  If this stands, this will be the end of freedom of speech, the end of the First Amendment.  You won't be allowed to say what you think.  And you can be sure that if that stands, the next thing will be reprogramming how you think.  You will not be allowed to think any other way than that which is determined to be acceptable by the government.  In fact, if you go back just a few posts of mine to this post, you'll see they are already trying to reprogram the way some citizens think and believe.

2014 is critical for the survival of America as we have known it. There is no longer time to sit back and not take action.  It's time for Americans to rise up and elect new politicians to Congress to replace the worthless mob we have there that do not hold this president and his administration accountable.

You may get upset.  You may get angry.  You may say you'll never allow it.  But if you are not actively doing something about it right now, then you are doing nothing and we will lose America.  It's our last chance.

At the end of his article Mr. Barber provides important links.  The first is a link for filing a public comment about this proposed regulation.  These are due by Feb. 27, 2014.  The second is a link to a petition to a Senate committee.  Don't miss your opportunity to speak out.  You may not be allowed to in the future if you miss this chance.  You can get to Mr. Barber's article by clicking here.

Fiscal Irresponsibility: The Government Way Of Doing Things

Here's the Nonsense:  The government does a good job of handling our tax dollars.  When the rare situation occurs where they make a mistake handling our money, we shouldn't get so upset.  It's doesn't add up to all that much anyway.

Here's the Horse Sense:  When you hire someone to handle your finances you expect the job to be done right.  We've hired our elected politicians to do just that and they, along with the people they've put in place to handle these things, are running us into the ground.

Anyone who is paying the least bit of attention to the progressives running our government knows that they believe that they can do things better than we can.  They believe that government is better at doing things than the private sector or private citizens.  That's the theme that will underlie changes to Obamacare that they will push through to make it a single-payer system. But their incompetence will not only cost us billions in their inferior health insurance system, their poor operational management will add to our financial destruction.

They will try to get the public to accept the idea that they can do things better than the private sector.  They are going to try to make us believe that the problems they are having with Obamacare are because it's someone else's fault.  In this case I'm sure they will try to blame insurers.  So, they will ultimately tell us, we must get rid of those evil insurance companies and let the government handle things.  That way, they'll say to us, we can have a good and effective system to care for the healthcare costs of Americans.
Really?  Do we really think that the insurers, who've been handling healthcare claims for generations don't have a better idea how to handle things than a bunch of academics who have never worked a real day in their lives?  The private sector, in this case insurers, have a vested interest in doing the job well.  If they don't, they go out of business.  The government doesn't have to do the job well because if they don't, they just raise taxes to cover their mistakes.

Do we really want to let this incompetent bunch of fools take over that much of our lives?  Another bit of information has just come out telling us about government waste.  And if you haven't had your news-induced blood pressure increase recently, hold on because I'm going to give it to you.

Breitbart is reporting that in 2013, $65.3 billion in erroneous payments made by government were made by the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS).  That's almost 2/3 of all erroneous payments made by the U. S. government that year.  Those are the same folks handling Obamacare.  Doesn't that make you feel good?  They are making erroneous payments at a rate of 3.53%.  That's absolutely irresponsible!

Now, before any of you say, "It's only 3.53%!  What's the big deal?"  My question is who handles your finances?  Would you allow that kind of error for someone to make if they were paying your bills?  Of course not!

And with the enormous and ridiculous amounts of money the government spends to run programs, all the while acting like they're better than anyone else could be at it, why is it acceptable to have that kind of error rate?  Yet these are the same people who now control our healthcare.  At least right now insurers are handling much of the financial end of things which will mean that at least their part of the equation will be handled with more accuracy and, dare I say, integrity.

But if erroneous payments aren't enough, I'll share one more little tidbit to keep that steam coming out of your ears.

Did you know that one of the hidden gems in Obamacare is a clause that has them take the profits the government makes on student loans and blend them with Obamacare to make the healthcare fiasco look better?

Daily Caller is reporting in an interview with Neal McCluskey of Cato that student loans were changed as part of Obamacare, "So that the profit they were supposedly making from the student loans could then be plugged into how much money would come from Obamacare, so it didn't look like it cost as much."

So we're going to let them cook the books?  This is the kind of stuff that gets people, companies, and governments into deep, deep trouble.  Try doing that in your personal finances and see how far it will get you.

But when you consider how corrupt our government has become this really is no surprise.  Both Breitbart and WND are reporting on Judicial Watch's list of the most corrupt in Washington for 2013 and, sadly, there are not just members of one party, but both in it.  The top ones include elected officials and appointed officials and are listed below in no particular order:

President Barack Obama (D)
Attorney General Eric Holder (D)
CIA Director John Brennan (D)
House Speaker John Boehner (R)
Senator Saxby Chambliss (R)
former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (D)
Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D)
HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius (D)
former DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano (D)
former IRS Commission Steve T. Miller (D)
former IRS official Lois Lerner (D)

These, many of the top leaders of our nation, are listed in a list of most corrupt.  Of those who are elected, 6 are Democrats and 2 Republicans.  That not only says a lot about them but it also says a lot about the job we've done as citizens in electing who represents us.

This inept bunch of morons and criminals we have elected and have allowed to take over our country are running it into the ground.  They are doing it on the backs of the taxpayers.  It's time for America to wake up and make changes.  Any way you cut it, the irresponsible way that our nation is being run must be stopped.

It's 2014.  Later this year there will be mid-term elections.  That's when citizens get the chance to make changes in Congress.  Since we have very few in Congress who are doing their job, it's time for a house cleaning.

It's only months away.  What are you doing to make sure good people are elected?  It's up to us, the citizens.  America is supposed to be a government of, by and for the people.  It is currently not running that way and if we do not bring it back into the citizens' control soon, there will be no chance to do so in the future.
