“…I shall speak forth my sentiments freely and without reserve.… It is only in this way that we can hope to arrive at truth, and fulfill the great responsibility which we hold to God and our country. Should I keep back my opinions at such a time, through fear of giving offense, I should consider myself as guilty of treason towards my country, and of an act of disloyalty toward the Majesty of Heaven, which I revere above all earthly kings.” - Patrick Henry, March 23, 1775

The Battle Was Over BeforeThe Supreme Court Ruled

The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense.

Here's the Nonsense:  Last week's rulings by SCOTUS may not be what we like, but we'll do better in the future.

Here's the Horse Sense:  Last week's rulings by SCOTUS should be no surprise to anyone.  We've been headed this way for a long time and things won't get better if we don't understand what we're up against.

If last week's decisions by the Supreme Court were a surprise to you, then you are sorely out of touch with what has been happening in America since long before Barack Obama.  And those things are planned to continue long after he is gone from office.

For example, the SCOTUS ruling on gay marriage was, as Chief Justice John Roberts said, not about the Constitution.  It was bending to political correctness and nothing else.

What's more important to note is that while it should have been rejected for ruling by SCOTUS on the basis that the Constitution says nothing about marriage.  It should have been a state's rights issue.  But the fact is that even if they had given it back to the states, ultimately we would have ended up with each and every state embracing gay marriage.  Sure, some states would have been a little slower to embrace it, but not much slower and ultimately we would have ended up with it anyway.

It's no longer time to discuss whether gay marriage is right or wrong.  In America that is no longer the point.  Not because it is now the law of the land, but because it is a pointless discussion.  The discussion to have now is how we got here and whether our society could ever change back to what it once was.

Some are still under the misconception that our elected representatives will take a stand to stop some of this madness.  A Virginia state lawmaker, Delegate Robert. G. Marshall is quoted in an article  on saying that the House of Representatives could use the power of the purse to stop recent rulings by SCOTUS.

Obamacare, gay marriage, confederate flags, accusations of racism, and everything else we see happening in our nation are not the point of any of this.  Frankly, the progressive communists who are in control of our nation couldn't care less about them.  What they care about is the methods they need to employ to cause the destruction of American society and the resulting collapse of our system of government.  That is all they are interested in.  What we are seeing are just the methods they are using to accomplish their goals.

The SCOTUS decisions last week affirm that the constitutional republic of the United States of America no longer exits.  Your First Amendment rights have just been thrown out and I have no doubt that very shortly we will see efforts to silence those who disagree with the government.

Contrary to what some think, that religious freedom and freedom of conscience will be protected regardless of what SCOTUS did, you are about to see lawsuits and government action to punish those who dare to disagree.  Many will lose financial resources, some will lose businesses, some will lose family and friends, and some will even be imprisoned if they dare stand against the decisions that were handed down.

Our constitutional republic is no longer a functioning entity.  There's no point in discussing how this issue or that issue is right or wrong.  The only discussions should be how we got here, whether there is anything that can be done to change it, and how much time we have to do so.

If the founding fathers of America spent their time only talking about how wrong King George was on issues and that it was wrong for the colonists to be treated the way they were treated, they would never have won the War of Independence.  They would have been wiped out by the King's army and every one of our founders would have been tried and hung for treason.

The time for action is now.  And the most effective actions are taken by knowing what you are up against.  You cannot effectively fight something if you don't know what it is.  So let's start by understanding where all that is happening comes from.

When the communists overthrew Russia in 1917 they thought that their revolution would spread throughout the world.  They dreamed of Europe and America falling to communism.  When it didn't happen immediately they developed other plans to infiltrate and overthrow the west.  An organization in Germany was formed and planned to be called the Institute for Marxism, but it was decided they needed to be more discreet.  So, they named it the Institute for Social Research, which became known as The Frankfurt School.

The Frankfurt School was set up to undermine and destroy Christianity and the foundational values from Christianity that were the basis of western civilization.  The school was directly aligned with Karl Marx, Sigmund Freud, Friedrich Nietzsche, and George Hegel, among others.

They saw workers and peasants as good and the wealthy and business owners as evil.  They taught a cultural marxism which held that certain groups were victims of injustice from society.

Their plan has been to slowly undermine the foundation stones of America and bring about the destruction of America through societal unrest.

(Dr. William Lind shares very interesting information about The Frankfurt School here and in his book about political correctness which is a free download here.  Some of my best understanding of all of this comes from Brannon Howse's excellent book, Grave Influence, which goes into depth about the underlying influences that have brought America to where we are today.

When the Nazis took over Germany in 1933, many from the Frankfurt School were invited to America by John Dewey and helped by famed journalist Edward R. Murrow.  Dewey was on staff at Columbia University in New York (yes, Barack Obama's alma mater) and he helped place these Marxists at leading universities and colleges across the country.  In 1934 Murrow became the Assistant Secretary of the Emergency Committee in Aid of Displaced German Scholars.  Prior to that he received experience as Assistant Director of the Institute of International Education where he was hired by Stephen Duggan, who advised the Soviet government on issues related to their workers' colleges and he promoted the communist agenda.

One key figure Murrow brought to America from the Frankfurt School was Herbert Marcuse.  He influenced 1960s student rebels with such ideas as "One can rightfully speak of a cultural revolution, since the protest is directed toward the whole cultural establishment; including the morality of existing society….[T]here is one thing we can say with complete assurance. The traditional idea of revolution and the traditional strategy of revolution has ended. These ideas are old-fashioned….[W]hat we must undertake is a type of diffuse and dispersed disintegration of the system.”

Many of those 1960s rebels went on to become today's college and university professors.

Howse says in his book:

"When you hear 'political correctness,' what comes to mind? You probably think of PC words such as tolerance, diversity, multiculturalism, and feminism. But what hides behind these terms?

"Tolerance means that one person never expresses a judgment about someone else’s ideas, beliefs, and values from a worldview of absolute truth. Tolerance demands that you not only accept another worldview, but that you value it—unless, of course, the worldview is Biblical Christianity. Tolerance is very intolerant of Bible-minded Christians.

"Diversity or sensitivity training is about the normalization of the homosexual lifestyle.

"Multiculturalism is not the study of many cultures but the criticism of Western Culture and its founding worldview of Christianity. Multiculturalism also desires to destroy patriotism."

Howse also shares from Alvin Schmidt's The Menace of Multiculturalism: The Trojan Horse in America another agenda behind political correctness:

"The idea behind political correctness is the notion of oppression. Women, blacks, Hispanics, and homosexuals are viewed as oppressed minorities due to the influence of Christianity and capitalism, bringing about the need for a revolution to overthrow their white, male, heterosexual, Euro-centric oppressors."

And from T. Kenneth Cribb, Jr.'s “Political Correctness in Higher Education,” he outlines the problem as:

"Perhaps the most disturbing aspect of the Politically Correct assault on the curriculum is that it has occurred at many of America’s elite universities. Take, for example, the case of Stanford University, an institution that has long played a leadership role in American higher education. Stanford eliminated its long-standing Western civilization requirement in 1988 and replaced it with a multicultural program known as 'Cultures, Ideas, and Values.' Under this new program, freshmen at Stanford can just as easily study Marxist revolutionaries in Central America as they can Plato, Shakespeare or Newton. Because elite institutions such as Stanford set an example for the rest of American higher education, other universities eagerly adopt these devastating assaults on the curriculum. This 'trickle-down'” effect will have a long-lasting impact on the way future generations of Americans will be educated. One distinguished scholar recently lamented that 'higher education is increasingly about acquiring attitudes and opinions that one puts on like a uniform.'"

24 years ago, in 1991, U.S. News and World Report stated that there were 10,000 Marxist professors teaching at America’s colleges and universities.

And Georgie Anne Geyer, writing in a 1989 Denver Post article, reported that “the percentage of Marxist faculty numbers can range from an estimated 90 percent in some Midwestern universities.”

Howse wrote his book in 2009 and gave excellent information to educate Americans and help fight the battle against America's destruction.  He quoted William Lind describing how we have allowed this worldview to destroy America by failing to follow and teach a Biblical worldview to the next generation:

"In the United States of America our traditional Western, Judeo-Christian culture is collapsing. It is not collapsing because it failed. On the contrary, it has given us the freest and most prosperous society in human history. Rather, it is collapsing because we are abandoning it."

Howse goes on to write:

"By eradicating Christianity not only will the family fall and the Church become impotent, but capitalism and the free enterprise system that were birthed out of the Protestant Reformation will be destroyed.

"The ultimate goal of cultural Marxism is to destroy Christianity in all areas of American life: law, science, economics, history, family, social issues, and education. The elimination of the Christian worldview from the culture will create the desired chaos. Once chaos has reached a fevered pitch, the public will cry out for government to solve the problem and people will accept socialism—and the outright rejection of the U.S. Constitution and our other founding documents. Then the cultural Marxists will have accomplished the transition from cultural Marxism to traditional Marxism—socialism—the economic philosophy of Karl Marx."

What's has happened in America is because of the success of the communist plans to overthrow our nation.  And they have succeeded.

When the Supreme Court no longer rules based on law, but based on political correctness and creating laws out of thin air, we no longer have a constitutional republic.  All 3 branches of government in America are now complicit in their actions.  None of them do their jobs of holding the other branches accountable.

And you can top that off with the fact that we have a society that is so narcissistic that they ignore what's going on in our nation. They shirk their civic responsibility to be involved in their government.

America, Haven't You Been Duped Enough?

The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense.

Here's the Nonsense:  Every so often the Republicans don't do what we may want, but overall they're fighting for America and doing what the voters want.

Here's the Horse Sense:  The Republicans have forsaken the American voters and no longer deserve grace or second chances.  It's now or never to save America.

We've heard it all before.  The GOP leadership says they are doing what's best for America while they side with Obama to make sure his agenda continues.  With the majority of Americans having sent message after message that they want Obama stopped, and the GOP leadership having promised over and over that they will do it, we continually see them violate those promises and kick the voters in the teeth.

Then, to add salt to the wound, they punish Republican politicians who actually listen to their constituents and stand up against GOP leadership's sellout.  GOP leadership punish them to show them that they must behave the way the leadership demands or they will pay the consequences.  Aren't you tired of constantly being duped by these people?

How many times have Republican voters fallen for the GOP's promises and how many times have they not followed through just since the 2014 midterm elections?

The fact is that they've been lying to voters for not just months and not just during the years of this administration, but for decades (remember when they sided with the Democrats to protect Bill Clinton in his perjury trial?).

For longer than we'd like to admit, the GOP establishment who control the Republican Party have sided with the Democrats in their efforts to:
  • Create bigger government
  • Eliminate freedoms for Americans
  • Run this country as though the Washington politicians are the elite ruling class and we're the peasants who serve them
We're only now starting to notice because the gap between what American voters want and what we're getting is even more obvious with Obama's continual flaunting of his lawlessness and expansion of government.

In what's become a common theme, the GOP has moved to give Obama even more unlimited and unchecked power by advancing the Obamatrade legislation.  Ironically, it's the Republicans who have given this to Obama while Democrats stood against the president.  And Republicans who stood against the president and GOP leadership are, once again, being punished for taking a stand.

There is a civil war in the Republican Party and the heart and soul of the party is at stake.  At this point what is most likely going to happen is that the party will continue to be splintered to the point that it will assure victory for Democrats in the 2016 presidential, house, and senate races and give them power over our entire government.

The latest example, the sellout on Obamatrade, even got some people we felt we could trust to turn against us and support it.  An example is Ted Cruz who, prior to the Obamatrade fiasco, was the candidate I liked best for the 2016 presidential race.  But when he chose to vote for it he lost me.

I will, however, give him credit that he has changed his position and no longer supports it as he explains in this article he wrote for Breitbart.

However, his change of position has not caused me to choose to support him again for 2016 at this point.  My reason is because of what he wrote in his article. He said he trusted Mitch McConnell's word to him about the trade deal, but later learned that he was wrong.

I appreciate someone being willing to admit a mistake, but I have to say that this was a total lack of judgment on Cruz's part.  Ted Cruz is a very intelligent man, but his youth showed through when he chose to accept McConnell's word after seeing how many times McConnell has lied in the past.  He should never have trusted McConnell.

Republican voters have been foolish in the amount of trust they've extended to our elected representatives and senators.  And now we're paying the price for that foolishness.

It's time to take names, keep records on what they do, and replace anyone who doesn't keep their promises.

By that I mean we need to keep a record of each person who goes against the desires of the American people.  And keeping records should include more than just their voting records.  For example, we shouldn't forget Mitch McConnell and John Boehner's promise to crush the conservative movement.  That isn't in any voting record, but is more than just a reason for concern, it's a reason for throwing them out of office.

And it's not just people like Boehner and McConnell.  It needs to be everybody.  Last week Jason Chaffetz, someone who was thought to be a fairly solid conservative, joined Boehner's revenge team when he stripped N.C. Rep. Mark Meadows of his subcommittee chairmanship as retribution for not voting to support the leadership's position.

That is not acceptable.  Rep. Meadows should have the freedom to represent his constituents and not be punished for it.  But it seems even Mr. Chaffetz has decided that people must follow orders or else.

Mr. Chaffetz should pay dearly for this action.

The only way these politicians will get the message that they are working for the people, not ruling over them, is to have harsh consequences for ANY who step away from service to the people.  It won't take too many being voted out in the next election for all of them to get the message, especially if we show no favoritism or special treatment to those who claim to be conservative.  If they know we mean business no matter who it is, they will get our message.

But this means we must hold people accountable.  It's one thing for a Ted Cruz to make the mistake he did and realize it and change his position.  It's an entirely different thing when a politician steps out of line and then says they have learned their lesson, but shortly thereafter they admit that their position hasn't changed and what they learned was that for things the American voters don't want they have to pass it in pieces so that they can slip it through.  That's unacceptable and must not be tolerated (and if you've been reading my writing for any period of time you'll know that the example I just used is exactly what Marco Rubio has done on amnesty for illegal immigrants).   People like this are no more trustworthy than the GOP leadership.

I've warned time and time again about the GOP establishment, even as recently as a few months ago when I asked if people had lost count how many times the GOP has stabbed us in the back.

We all know the old saying that says "Fool me once, shame on you.  Fool me twice, shame on me."  But I'd like to add this:

Fool us as many times as the GOP has, and they've proved we're dupes.  (In case you don't know, a dupe is someone who is easily deceived or fooled.)

Your freedom is in jeopardy.

The 2016 election is the last chance we have to bring this country back under control of the citizens.  If we don't succeed, not only you, but your children, grandchildren and generations thereafter will suffer beyond what you can imagine.

This will all be determined in the primaries, not the general election, because that's when we can choose who will be our candidates.

Get involved and do it right away.  The future depends on it.

Easily Duped, Contemptible Fools We Are

The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense.

Here's the Nonsense:  The establishment Republicans who control the GOP are doing the best they can.  We need to support them and accept that they will do what's best for America.

Here's the Horse Sense:  The establishment Republicans have virtually destroyed the GOP and are working in league with the Democrats to destroy America.  It's up to us to force them to comply with voter's wishes.

The establishment GOP looks upon voters as easily duped, contemptible fools, at least that's the conclusion over at Rob Miller's Joshuapundit blog.  And he's got good reason for that conclusion.  He has posted some interesting comments about the defeat of Obamatrade last Friday.  And while that may be the opinion of the establishment GOP about voters, the fact is that in many ways they may be right.

The Joshuapundit's comments about the defeat of Obamatrade say:

"The Republican Establishment can talk all it wants about how the TPA (the fast track authority given to the Obama Regime) needs to pass, that the ObamaTrade bill will be debated properly, and that this is all a good thing.

"Horse manure, the Republican Party is no longer to be trusted, no matter what they say."

He's right that the GOP should no longer be trusted.  This is simply more proof of their disdain and disregard for the American people's opinions.

He angrily goes on to remind readers of the GOP's history of betrayal of voters saying:

"The Republican Establishment has betrayed its base at every turn.  The RNC did nothing positive in 2010 to get a GOP majority in the House.  That was Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint's doing..."  Then he goes on to remind us how the GOP messed up 3 winnable Senate seats while running Palin and DeMint out of any meaningful place within the formal party apparatus.

We are also reminded how, even though the GOP now had a majority in the House, they fell for Obama and Reid's manipulation to do whatever the Democrats wanted, refusing to use their constitutional responsibility and authority of the power of the purse to hold them in check.  He continues by reminding readers that they gave control of both houses of Congress to the Republicans in the 2014, only to be betrayed again when the GOP didn't stop amnesty, Obamacare, control of the FCC and internet, stopping the EPA, or even the radical judicial appointments.

The conclusion?  "...they [the GOP establishment] lied to us at every turn and continue to lie to us.  They lied willfully and knowingly, because to them, their real constituency are their corporate donors.  They look upon us as easily duped, contemptible fools, as serfs made to serve them, the Ruling Class."

Near the end he writes about Boehner's plan to overcome the defeat in Friday's Obamatrade vote by planning another vote for this coming Tuesday.  Of course that simply gives Obama and Boehner time to work Democrats and conservatives respectively to get enough votes to change the outcome from Friday's vote.

He concludes with an angry message to the GOP leadership:

"Watch how quickly you become today's Whigs and a new party forms unless you make serious, concrete amends.  We will do it even if it means a venal creature like Hillary Clinton gets elected, because wile (sic) she doesn't represent us, neither do you...and while we expect her to lie to us at every turn, we trusted you.  Oliver Cromwell's famous adjuration to Parliament comes to mind... "You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you.  In the name of God, go!'"  And then he tops off the post saying that the GOP's actions amount to treason, appeasement and betrayal.

Joshuapundit is right about the establishment GOP being untrustworthy.  They have continually lied and worked to destroy the conservative movement.  Remember when both Mitch McConnell and John Boehner vowed to stop the conservatives and eliminate them?

But what's scary is that it's taken this long for a conservative blog like Joshuapundit to come to these conclusions.  For years I've said that the GOP leadership could not be trusted and that the establishment controlled the party.  I left the party myself in 1999 after they proved they would not uphold the law and find Bill Clinton guilty of perjury.  By then it seemed obvious to me that they were worthless and I believed that conservatives needed to work hard to regain control of the party.

But that hasn't happened and I believe it's because people aren't informed and don't get involved.  America's citizens are woefully uneducated about:

  • their government
  • how unique American liberty is and what it takes to keep it
  • the corruption in Washington
  • the importance of their involvement in the political process

Our children are no longer taught important civics lessons in school.  They no longer learn the important aspects of American history.  What they are taught is political correctness and are indoctrinated into seeing America as an evil, imperialist nation.

And the adults aren't paying attention to what's happening as our nation fizzles.  Most people couldn't tell you about the day's news, let alone about Hillary Clinton's scandals, Obama's scandals, Boehner's continued strongarm tactics against conservative representatives in the House, etc.

Only about 22.1 million Americans get their news by watching NBC, CBS, and ABC news programs.

Fox News, CNN and MSNBC get about 4 - 4.5 million viewers (CNN and MSNBC combined take a little over a million of those viewers with the remaining going to Fox).

If you're generous and say that these broadcast networks and cable networks combined get 30 million viewers, that's still only about 9.3% of the U.S. population of 321 million.

Yes, many people get some news either from local sources or listening to drive time radio in their cars, but those are not in depth reports and those listeners aren't focused on the information to understand it.  Plus, much of that news comes through ABC, CBS, and NBC.

A small number of people listen to talk radio to learn more about what's going on, but even the largest show, Rush Limbaugh, only has 20 million listeners per week (Note: that's per week, not per day.  Divide by 5 and it's only 4 million per day, about 25% more than Fox News).  And Rush's audience is far larger than his competition.

The point is that Americans don't know what's going on in our country and instead have fallen into lives of narcissism and immorality.  Our founders understood this danger.

George Washington wrote a letter to his brother, John Augustine Washington on June 15, 1783 saying, "Liberty, when it degenerates into licentiousness, begets confusion, and frequently ends in Tyranny or some woeful catastrophe."

Our 2nd president, John Adams, spoke about these dangers often.  Here are just of his 3 quotes:

  • "Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people.  It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
  • "Almost all mankind have lost their liberties through ignorance, inattention, and disunion"
  • "When a people is corrupted, the press may be made an engine to complete their ruin:  and now it is notorious that the ministry are daily employing it to increase and establish corruption, and to pluck up virtue by the roots."

James Madison reinforced the fact that we must be diligent at all times when he warned that freedoms are incrementally lost.  He said: "I believe there are more instances of the abridgment of freedoms of the people by gradual and silent encroachment of those in power than by violent and sudden usurpations."

And it wasn't just the founders who understood these things.  In early America it was known that these were dangers that threatened whether we could retain our freedoms.  During his Farewell Address on March 4, 1837, Andrew Jackson said, "But you must remember, my fellow-citizens, that eternal vigilance by the people is the price of liberty, and that you must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing.  It behooves you, therefore, to be watchful in your States as well as in the Federal Government."

And just 3 months later, on June 1, 1837, Daniel Webster said, "...There is no nation on earth powerful enough to accomplish our overthrow.... Our destruction, should it come at all, will be from another quarter.  From the inattention of the people to the concerns of their government, from their carelessness and negligence, I must confess that I do apprehend some danger.  I fear that they may place too implicit a confidence in their public servants, and fail properly to scrutinize their conduct;  that in this way they may be made the dupes of designing men, and become the instruments of their own undoing."

At the end of his post, Joshuapundit blog said that if the GOP didn't finally listen to the voters it was time to form a 3rd party and send the GOP into history like the Whig Party of old.

On that point I disagree.

I disagree because I don't believe we have time to form a 3rd Party and build it to enough strength to save America.  A new party would take many election cycles to gain enough support to win national elections.  We are quickly losing our freedoms.  The self-proclaimed ruling class in the Democrat and Republican parties are working to take even more of our liberty.  If we don't stop this with a major change in the 2016 elections, I believe we will not get another chance to vote for change that is needed.

We have to be involved and educate those around us about what's going on.  Samuel Adams said, "It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds."

But in the shape America is in it will take even more than that.  As I warned in 2011 in my book, No Tomorrows, by any rational person's analysis our debt is so deep that it's only a matter of a short time before our economic system comes crashing down.  We have filled political leadership positions with irresponsible, corrupt and evil people who have hijacked our government from us.  Only a few people left in high office are people of integrity willing to serve the people's interests.  And worst of all, we have abandoned God and morality and now only God can save us.

But Americans are too proud to admit their sin.  They see life as a buffet of personal pleasure.  They will not serve God, but only serve themselves.

Can we still stop the madness and save America?

In II Chronicles 7:14 God said, "if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and heal their land."

If we listen and obey what God has told us, America can be saved.  If we don't, we are doomed to the ash heap of history.

NY Times Is Right On Rubio

The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense.

Here's the Nonsense:  The NY Times is putting out attack pieces on Marco Rubio.  They should be rejected because their attacks mean Rubio is a great choice for America.

Here's the Horse Sense:  Intentional or not, the NY Times is doing a service to America by bringing out the truth about Marco Rubio.  His past is very important for voters to know about to see whether he's qualified to be president.

In recent weeks the New York Times has published some pieces raising questions about Marco Rubio's irresponsible lifestyle choices.  People on the right have been quick to defend him calling the NY Times pieces nothing less than partisan attacks.  It's the rare day that I can find something in the NY Times to agree with.  Their wholesale sellout to the progressive Democrats has caused their publication to be questionable in its accuracy most of the time.  But this time, even though people on the right are crying foul, the Times is right.

Just because we disagree with someone on a regular basis doesn't mean they can't be right once in a while.  Old sayings that a broken clock is right twice a day and even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while aren't just cute, they're right.  And this time the NY Times is not only right in their analysis, but in doing such analysis they are doing the job the media is supposed to do to help citizens scrutinize those who would be our leaders.

A new article about Rubio was published this morning bringing out more issues regarding his lack of ability to handle his finances.  This is important if he is to be considered as the nominee for president in 2016.  His lack of ability to handle his own finances is just another example of why there should be concern about how he'd handle the country's economy.  If you can't do it at home, you aren't qualified to do it on a larger scale for someone else.

Certainly people make mistakes in their personal lives.  And we should be willing to allow people to grow and learn.  But when we see a consistent pattern of irresponsibility it tells us that the person has not learned from their mistakes.  That should tell us that we need to find someone else who is more responsible rather than allow the immature person to use their inabilities to drive America into further problems.  Marco Rubio is that person who has not learned his lessons.

And it's not just in his finances.  He has shown himself to be dishonest.  He lied about his parents arrival in America (he said they came here as refugees from Castro's Cuba, but the fact is they came to America before Castro was in power).  He was deceptive when he told Sean Hannity that he'd learned his lesson on amnesty for criminal immigrant invaders (illegal immigrants) implying that he was no longer for it (yet a short time later said that what he'd learned was that amnesty as proposed by the Gang of Eight wouldn't be accepted by Americans so he realized he needed to get it passed in pieces so that it would be more acceptable to voters).

Someone you can trust wouldn't lie to you.  Some would say he was just spinning the truth, but deception is deception.  And when a person is deceptive they've just failed the most basic test of true leadership and made themselves ineligible for the most important job in the world.

I've warned about Rubio before.  Back in 2013 and again in April and May this year I wrote about him.  I don't believe he's a conservative, but rather he's learned to spin his story well and sell himself as a conservative to people who don't do their homework or pay attention to what's going on.  Frankly, I'm tired of writing about him but his rise in the polls gives me enough concern to feel that I need to write about him again.

The Daily Caller is reporting that Ted Cruz warned about both Rubio and Walker being moderates, which is a polite way of saying they are more aligned with the establishment GOP than with conservatives in the party (and I think he's right).

I will admit that I've been a Ted Cruz fan from early on, although he's lost much favor with me by his recent support for the Trans Pacific Partnership trade deal and his support of the Freedom Act to replace the Patriot Act (neither one is good, both Acts allow too much ability for government to violate citizens constitutional rights).

Americans are terrible at choosing leaders.  If you don't believe it, look at Washington and tell me how we ended up with so many bad people in office if the voters knew how to do a good job in selecting leaders.  Choosing good leaders is one of the 3 key factors necessary to save America from collapse.  The other two are getting our debt under control, which will turn our economy around, and abandoning our immoral lifestyle and returning to faith in God.  I outlined those in my book, No Tomorrows when I wrote it in 2011 and the answers have not changed.  Sadly, neither have the American people.

Families Can't Stop Government Approved Killing of Patients

(The Horse Sense Blog compares the nonsense in today's news with good ol' fashioned horse sense.)

Here's the Nonsense:  Europe's decisions to devalue and even take life aren't America's problem.  What they're doing will never happen here.

Here's the Horse Sense:  What starts in Europe not only heads for America, but it is pushed on us by our political elite ruling class.  We need to stop what they're doing now or we will be accountable for eternity.

Imagine government having the power to allow killing of patients and the victim's family has no say in it.  That's what's just happened in Europe.  And it's not just "something happening over there" but rather is a precursor to what is about to happen in America.  You better pay attention if you value your life and that of your loved ones.

It's all too common for Americans to think that things that happen elsewhere will never happen here.  But we've already seen too many instances where that's been proven wrong. Americans no longer have the rights we are supposed to have guaranteed to us by the Constitution.  Add to that the fact that the very politicians we elect to office don't represent the people, but rather do whatever they want while thumbing their noses at the very people who put them in office and for whom they work.  They see themselves as a political elite ruling class.  It's a recipe for disaster... a disaster we're already seeing come to fruition.

Every single American is in danger of having the government allow them to be murdered with no consequences to the offender if we allow what's just happened in Europe to come here.

WND is reporting that the European Court of Human Rights has just legalized the right of doctors to euthanize disabled people.  It's not just ironic that it's called the European Court of Human Rights, but scary to think that in 1950 this action was proclaimed wrong by the European Convention on Human Rights.  But now this policy has been approved and imposes euthanasia on patients who cannot agree or disagree and leaves their families with no power to intervene to save their loved one.

After the atrocities brought upon the world by Nazi Germany in World War II, western society held them accountable convicting them in the Nuremburg Trials for acts of unthinkable evil.  One of those evil acts was the use of euthanasia to eliminate those the government decided were unwanted, unneeded, and worthless.  Of course, the Nazis were the ones to determine the definition of unwanted, unneeded, and worthless because they saw themselves as the political elite ruling class who knew what was best for society.

The current court decision came about in the case of Vincent Lambert of France.  His family asked the court to protect him (he suffered head injuries in a 2008 traffic accident that left him in a quadriplegic state described as "minimally conscious plus."  He is not dead and can digest food.  The court ruled that a bureaucracy can decide on euthanasia and his family has no right to intervene.

Gregor Puppinck, who represented Lambert's right to life, said the court, "not only held that in Europe, we can legally induce the death of a disabled patient who did not ask to die, but in addition, it denies that patient the protection of the convention against mistreatment."

He went on to say:  "In 1946, during the Nuremberg trials, physicians who practiced euthanasia of disabled persons were convicted.  These convictions founded contemporary medical ethics.... This decision puts at risk the 'legal death' of tens of thousands of patients in Europe who are in the same situation as Vincent Lambert.  The respect for their right to life is no longer guaranteed by the European Court of Human Rights."

This is another step in the moral failure and abandonment of God that society is falling into.  And mark my words, our days are very short if we don't quickly wake up, abandon our folly and turn to God.

Don't think for a moment that just because it's in Europe it isn't important for America or won't happen here.  America often follows Europe. The leftist progressives want us to follow Europe on virtually everything.  They believe the failed socialism of Europe is a good model for America (it may have failed there, but they think they know better how to make it work than the Europeans do).  (In fact, a good example on a simple level is recently declared 2016 Democrat presidential candidate Lincoln Chafee who is being reported by CNN as pushing to change America to the metric system.  He believes that Europeans do things much better than Americans.)

Euthanasia is no small thing.  God values human life and those who do not will be accountable to Him.  You may not have noticed, but the political leadership in this country sees themselves as the political elite ruling class and rejected God and been pushing these ideas on us for some time.

In 2009 the left was trying to offset Sarah Palin's comments that Obamacare had death panels.  Of course as the truth about Obamacare came out after it was passed into law, she was proven right.  But in early defense of the law, Newsweek published an article about it in which the author, John Meachem, wrote, "the origins of what became the dreaded eath panels show the idea to be sensible and humane.  We have to think about death differently."

These are subtle things that the left carefully slips into society over time.  For example, they changed Germany and made it ripe for Hitler, but not overnight.  They changed the culture and attitude towards values starting about 80-100 years before Hitler took over.  They started working diligently on America around the time of Woodrow Wilson's presidency (1913 to 1921), which would put America right now at about the same place Germany was at when Hitler rose to power.

German professors Karl Binding and Dr. Alfred Hoche wrote in 1920, "The Permission To Destroy LIfe Unworthy Of Life."  They believed that taking the life of a patient was not against medical ethics for patients that were terminally ill, had brain damage, were mentally retarded, or had other mental health issues.  This kind of writing laid the groundwork for the Nazis who, two decades later, were killing people by the millions.  The Nazi doctors even justified the killing of the Jews and other socially "unacceptable" individuals comparing them to a diseased organ or gangrenous limb in the body that needed to be removed to save the patient.  To them, the Jews and socially unacceptable were a disease endangering the health of society and needed to be removed.

This mindset has been going through careful, planned introduction to American society for some time.

In 1922 Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, wrote "The Pivot of Civilization" in which she said, "There is but one practical and feasible program in handling the great problem of the feeble-minded.  That is, as the best authorities are agreed, to prevent the birth of those who would transmit imbecility to their descendants."

It's interesting to note that in a 2009 NY Times Magazine interview, Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg said, "Frankly I had thought that at the time Roe was decided, there was concern about population growth and particularly growth in populations that we don't want to have too many of."

Did you get that?  Ginsburg, a current Supreme Court Justice said there were "populations we don't want to have too many of."  You can't make a much more bigoted and closed-minded statement than that!

I have some questions for Justice Ginsburg:

  • Who decides which "populations" we don't want to have too many of?
  • Who decides who is unworthy to live?
  • What gives them the moral authority to make those decisions?
  • How would you feel if they decided you were one of those who should not live?

It's interesting to note that by 1969 views about the sanctity of life had dramatically changed in America.  The Christian Century published "The Soft Revolution Explored" by Sam Keen.  It said, "Western civilization has become disillusioned about its ancient romance with the religious and moral ideals of the Judeo-Christian tradition."  In 1995 Keen spoke at the State of the World Forum saying, "If we cut the world's population by 90%, there won't be enough people left to do ecological damage."  The response was thunderous applause.

The May 1973 issue of Prism from the American Medical Association included an article called, "Children from the Laboratory" by Dr. James Watson.  He wrote, "I think we must re-evaluate our basic assumptions about the meaning of life.  Perhaps no one should be thought of as alive until about 3 days after birth.  If a child were not declared alive until 3 days after birth, then the doctor could allow the child to die if the parents so chose."

The indoctrination of America to change our values continued in a 42 page report known as the Alethea Report that had a 10 year plan to achieve the goals of changing the values of self and the values of society, death and dying education, etc.

In 1980 Barbara Marx Hubbard (nominated at that year's Democratic Nat'l Convention to be VP candidate) wrote "The Revelation: Our Crisis Is A Birth (The Book of Co-Creation)" that said one-fourth of the world's population are "defective seeds" that "must be eliminated from the social body." She wrote that she and her compatriots (fellow citizens) "are in charge of God's selection process for planet Earth.  He selects, we destroy.  We are the riders of the pale horse, Death."

The point is that the traditional American view of the sanctity of life has not just changed, that change has been orchestrated by the political elite ruling class.  They not only want to control every decision during your life, they want to control decisions about whether you live or how long you live.  And their mindset is embraced fully by the mainstream media and Hollywood who promote it endlessly in their efforts to get Americans to accept this way of thinking.

They tell us, for example, that ending the life of the elderly is compassionate because it ends suffering.  They also try to sell us on the idea that it's environmentally and economically the best choice.  They do this because they believe the population must be reduced and this is one way to help attain those goals.

When human life has little value, it is easy to justify things that would have once been unthinkable.  Remember the story just a few years ago of the 3 year old girl who was denied a kidney transplant because she was mentally retarded?

Did you know that while you'll have to pay for life-saving drugs under Obamacare, life-ending drugs are free?  Click here for an article that will tell you about it.  They're encouraging death over life.

You or your loved ones could very easily be some of the people the political elite ruling class decide don't deserve to live.  That's something that virtually every American is going to have to face (except the political elite ruling class, who are immune from these decisions).

Their view of life is a sin against God and people who hold it will be held accountable by Him.  Don't ever forget that when we fail to take sin as seriously as God does, we're effectively saying His laws don't apply to us.  It's thumbing your nose at God.  Trust me, you won't win in that standoff.  You'll not only be held accountable for your actions, but also for your inaction.
